Finally after being open for 5 months, I have given up my part time job and have decided to concentrate fully on my beauty room
Little bit scarey but very excited! No more working with scumbags (those of you who know me, know what my day job was!). Will definitely be investing in Shellac as I've had a few calls for this - not many seem to be offering it my way. No more 5.00am starts and 10.00pm finishes!
Have done my last shift today - have a lay in tomorrow (8.00 am - whoo hoo!).
Onwards and upwards for the Lash & Beauty Lounge!

Decided it was time for an update! Its been 2 years since I opened The Lash and Beauty Lounge
Things have moved on! I have been in my own premises since last June - I now have a large downstairs retail shop and upstairs treatment room.
Since I opened, my turnover has quadrupled and I am happy to say i have more than replaced my wages. I now have over 400 clients on my books - the majority of them regulars (2/4/6 weekers) with others returning 3 or 4 times per year.
Its been hard work but worth every minute. To anyone thinking of taking that leap forward - i say go for it, but don't expect overnight success, you have to work at it and sit there all day even when there's no-one booked in!
Tried every marketing ploy going and the ones that have worked have been word of mouth offers and Groupon! I have only done 1 groupon deal but it bought me over 60 regulars.
Have done loads more training in the last year including IPL, facial massage and thai foot massage.
Really looking forward to this year - have started to see the rewards of all the hard work now!
