Purchase the land that is overlooking a water source. (Some where beautiful with quicksand) Quiet it’s paid for but delete the quicksand terminology so the bank doesn’t find out.
You hire an architect, to design your custom built dream home. (She bakes gingerbread houses)
Pay for a construction worker that has some building experience. (He watched his uncle)
Hire a designer to design the interior. (She won a first place award once, coloring book champion)
Get your plans in order, pay all your permits. (Your hard earned money)
Get a loan if you don’t have money piled in accounts.
BoRiNg, I know, I’m making a point.
I’m not jealous, or criticizing, I’m not afraid others work is better than mine.
Maybe it is, does one really think my clients that have been with me for 10+ years will jump ship? If they do, my clients were not mine I don’t own people.
I enjoy looking at pretty nails but if you have a foundation that is built on quicksand, your custom built home (NAILS) is going to go, bye, bye.
So-called professionals that have become great painters/artist for whatever reason, school classes, watching others, studying books still have to build/create the foundation or their client/business and income will do what the above mentioned house I mentioned did, go, bye, bye.
In my years, I’ve seen some amazing fantastic art, as for enhancements, I won’t go in to detail what was thought by the wearer. I try to keep my mouth shut, because in real life, in my work place I’ve been accused of trying to steal clients, just not enough time in a day to work on mine and theirs.
I have my own, don’t need theirs.
Hell, if I did steal clients, why haven’t they been stolen back?
One reason I registered at The Nail Geek, is because it appeared to me that it wasn’t a free for all. I spoke with the editor of a nail magazine and bragged to her how things here are at a higher standard.
I appreciate the professionalism, above average work I’ve seen here.
I pay for education many times a year, sometimes just to find out what the other guy is doing.
I keep my mind open and learn everything I can.
Do I need to further my education? Even if its not required where I live? YES, always, I love my career.
In closing my first blog, I will say this, I have never said I was the best, nor do I want to be called the best. This chosen career provided me with the income and stability to take care of my own family. As a single parent I will add. I must have done ONE thing right.
My first place winning competition in life was making sure my girls would have a good start in this thing, life.
