Well, today is my last day in Birmingham

This afternoon, I pack the last of my belongings, get in my car and drive to Bristol. Still doesn't feel real though...

Had my work leaving do last night which lasted until the early hours of the morning, so that was really good

All I need to do now is get a new job in Bristol which is proving more difficult than I thought as all the Agencies have said the same thing "it's August, our books are empty"....

I just have so much going on in my life at the moment, I can't cope !

Work is very, very busy and I'm covering for 2 other secretaries that are on holiday and I'm totally run off my feet.

Not only do I need to do my normal work, but also need to start getting everything ready for my handover which will be to fresh air as they can't replace me at the moment. Still, I need to compile a folder with step by step guides for everything I do and just can't seem to get the time...

Well, yesterday I had to do the hardest thing I’ve had to do in a long time… I handed in my resignation at work

I was actually hyperventilating by the time I got to my boss’s door. Reason being… I SO didn’t want to do it.

He was really supportive and understands why I did it. He also knows that it’s been coming since last year May. I was pretty much delaying the inevitable.

This is the third time that I'm here and bloody hell, I keep forgetting how bad the cravings are !

First time I quite, I was a good girl for 2 years ! Can kick my own arse for starting again after that

Second time was at the beginning of the year and lasted two months.

Started taking my Champix last week and today is my first day "smoke free". Have to admit, I had one cigarette left last night which I smoked this morning...

OK, so today is my first day on Champix.

Had my tab this morning and don’t feel any different yet. I’ve had 5 cigarettes already today and I’ve quite enjoyed them (the shame of it !). They don’t taste any different to me yet either.

I assume this will take time and hopefully by the end of my first week, the tabs would have kicked in so that I won’t feel the need to smoke. Fingers crossed this works !!
