Feeling really upset this evening, one of my clients went on holiday for two weeks and I offered to look after their little girls hamster.Today shes texted me to say hes unwell ,diarraheoa and not being his norm, then she texted me later to say he had died.
He was very quiet when I had him but was still eating ok, but did have diarraheoa within the second week. She told me not to feel bad it was just one of those things, now Im just feeling so upset for the girls, they might not understand and will hate me, Ive had hamsters myself so Im sure ive done nothing wrong, just feel rotten, should I offer to buy another one??.

Hamsters get old really quickly ours died of old age and it was only nearly four ,
I thought it was still a baby
but it was really old in hamster years over seventy odd so the vet said , he also said they usually only live for a year or more if your lucky , depending on what types as well , some are more fragile and open to disease a lot more than others,
it's not your fault
and I wouldn't offer to buy a new one as they may not even want another one, chin up don't worry x minkyPosted 25-08-09 at 03:29 AM by minky
