Spent the weekend at Three Ways House Hotel, the home of the Pudding Club, in the glorious setting of The Cotswolds.

OH and myself ploughed our way through syrup sponge, chocolate and nut pudding and banana and cinammon pudding. Not all at the same time of course (!), but all served with lashings of custard and cream

I feel fat and fed, but very happy

As some of you know, I'm moving home very shortly ... Friday actually!

Yikes, I hope I'll be ready in time. It seems as if I've been packing forever. I can't actually see anything but boxes at the moment

I'm so excited about the move, but know there'll be tons to do before everything's straight again.

As I am a certified geek-a-holic, I'll keep checking in for as long as I can before the PC is literally packed away and out of reach, but in case...

Well, yesterday was a big hurdle for me ... the first Father's Day without my Dad

It was also my first re-visit to the cemetery since his funeral two months ago. I felt it quite comforting to be standing so close to him, though very tough to fight back the tears.

Rest in eternal peace Dad ... I miss you so very much xxxx

Following the recent death of my father, it has been and continues to be, a very long and bumpy road

However, there is a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel that I have to share with you.

Despite the trauma of bereavement, hubby and I have been juggling our home move at the same time and we have today, at long last, exchanged contracts.

My wonderful Mum is very happy for us, and says that my Dad would have been very happy too. That made me smile...

As the title says, this is my first blog.

I've been absent from the site for such a long time and I've missed you all.

Following major surgery at the end of last year, I spent several weeks recovering.

Just when I thought my life was getting back on track, my father fell ill whilst on holiday overseas.

I travelled backwards and forwards to see him a couple of times, I contracted shingles in between visits and sadly, following complications...
