Your Issues ain't my issues!!

I had a lady book in just over a week ago for a hollywood. Brilliant I thought, a good regular monthly client to get!
I found out that she is an owner of another hairdressers in the town I work in. So did the salon owner of where I rent my room and she proceeded to tell me that shes not happy that this lady is coming in. Saying that this lady is only coming to the salon to nose, and she will slag off etc, etc.
I said, well, I don't her and shes coming to me because she's heard about my waxing and how good I am<<(blowing own trumpet, but you have to at times!!!
).
Anyway, the client came today,, with a friend for support. They were lovely and we had a really good time. She was sooooooooooo impressed with her first ever hollywood and has re-booked, took some of my price lists and business cards..saying she will recommend me! Again, BRILLIANT!!
Then, the salon own, where I rent, came to my room. Saying I am really not happy and when you get busier, you can drop her!!!
She then went onto say how she has had problems/issues with someone who owns this other salon with my new client... she went on quite a bit and I realised that whatever I said, she wasnt going to listen.
I did say,,,, I don't know this woman,, she seems really nice.and I have to speak as I find etc....
She then warned me to watch myself with her.
I did say that her asking me to drop her was wrong,, its not my fault she has a problem. And that I wouldn't dream of saying to her,, I don't like that client,, I want you to stop doing her hair!
So, I will see how it comes out,,, If she insists on me dropping her,, I did say I will say that you (the Owner), doesn't want her to come anymore...because as I said,,, I don't want my name ruined from a issue she has!!

Don't you just want to give people like that a right hook and be done with it?
Honestly, why are people so petty. As if running a salon is tough enough. Who has the time to engage in schoolyard bullying?
You rent the room from her. Therefore she has no business even going anywhere near you let alone demanding who you can and cannot have as clients. It's called 'restriction of trade' and it's illegal.

I got angry reading that!!!
Hopefully it will all be a storm in a teacup and blow over soon enough...clients are clients and besides honestly what can this woman do by having a Hollywood with you to ruin the salon you rent from????
Go back and tittle tattle with her own clients...who just so happen to be HER OWN clients anyway!!!

I pay a huge rent a week for this room Jo,so the owner needs to back off!! Like you say,, storm in a teacup. If, however, she says about it again. I will say,, u've got the issue with this new client of mine,,, you can talk to her about it and not involve me.

I can't see what her problem is!! I have clients from most of the other salons in town and it wouldn't even occur to me to not do them!

I don't get it. Another salon owner saved my bacon this week when I ran out of a product unexpectedly. Can't see the point of salon wars!
