spoon nails

Had my first ever set of spoon nails. Oooo. Was worried when my client said that she wanted to keep the free edge to grow her nails. She said - 'as natural as possible'. They weren't perfect looking, I would never win a nail comp with them, but as she said 'like my nails just better'. We kept them short and they looked 100% natural when I finished. I can't explain but there was just something about the shape that I wasn't entirely happy with. No egyptian hats present or anything glaringly obvious, no obvious spoon shape, just a niggly feeling that they weren't perfect........
Still, my client was really impressed and very happy. She's not the sort to say she's ok and pleased when she isn't. Oh, if anyone is interested I used fibreglass because she definately didn't want 'the claw thing going off' (her words for apex). Now I've got her trust, and educated her on cuticle care, I may be able to work on the apex horror she has!
