hi all,,
today i went into work and after being there or 1/2 hour and first client due a lady turned up and wth kit and uniform and said that she had spoke to my boss last week who told her to come in today for a trial day and work with me for the day and if she got on ok then possibly she would be another nail tech in the salon. (i am only one at the mo).
I really want the salon to do well...and have done quite alot to publicise the salon for its nails and beauty side of things. I get...

i really can believe what i have been asked. i was doing one of my ladys on friday and while i was there doing her infills she asked me if in the summer holidays if i would do her daughers nails...... she is 7!!!
in the last few years her daughter has been though quite alot as she has just got through her battle with leukiemia. i think it is very much a case of what she wants she gets especially as they are lucky to have her still with them....even so!!
Of course i said no i couldnt...

Well as many know i used to work for woolworths .....and did do for 13 years as also you will know that i was made redundant on 31st december. It has been 18 months since i first did my CND foundation course and have done many other courses since then to try and better my skills (plus i managed to get a job 1 day a week in a small salon...just to make sure i kept in regular practice more than anything else).
I originally never thought i would be able to do much with the nails to be honest...

Well after todays announcement at work i feel totally devastated at the thought of being made redundant. (looking more likely now)
Most of you know i work for woolworths as my main job and have worked there for 13 years, i love my job there i love the staff and love the customers. i cannot imagine not working there.
I did decide last year while on maternity leave to get into the nail industry and i do love doing it and i did eventually want to aim at doing more full time that working...

Well today i did a wedding fayre with the salon i work at promoting hair nails and beauty. (im the only nail tech in the salon really). We had a small stall set up with one lady who has won many competitions doing hair demoing and i was also demoing. And the others were promoting our wedding packages.

I spent most of the day doing glitter fades and 3d flowers......and i could have cried when most of them when they had finished looked at the nail done and went 'Wow!!!....ive never...
