Well now is the time to really hit your advertising! business wil pick up now and all through the summer. No need for mega special offers either as people want and need what you do rather than just treating themselves to a bit of pampering. Get promoting and get clients because you are good at what you do and not because you are cheap!

hi, I put an ad in the local paper last wk( women in business section) it was in the paper today, my phone has not stopped ringing all day, I have taken alot of booking and the ad has paid for itself already. you could also send in your business profile with info about you, what you do with a picture and write a note asking for free press release. I have just sent that to another paper near me and the editor said he would put it in when he has free space it could be next wk or it could be in 2 wks time, its still free press when they get space. just a thought. good luck. my regular clients for spray tanning and massage etc are now booking in for nails to be done. Im very new to nails and very worried not as confident as I was with the other treatments I do. please tell me it gets easier to put gel nail extensions on!!!!!!!!

Thanks! Great advice

I put out 500 leaflets and got no replys back from them so I've changed them and added a little more luxury treatments in the hope they might grab peoples attention more.

Thank you, Sassy, for publishing that great piece again for us newbies. I reacted immediately by (1) putting a stop to my request to cancel my advert in my local paper, which has so far resulted in only 1 new booking (from only one week's ad, so maybe I was expecting too much) and (2)
I've emailed my advertising contact at the paper, offering a free spray tan in return for a (favourable) article on their Health & Beauty page. I'm now excited at the very thought, all thanks to you xx
