It depends on what you are into>
I took my girls into London a few weeks ago and in 1 day we saw loads of things. We got the tube to Embankment and then did a boat trip down the Thames and saw loads. We got off at the stop at Big Ben and walked down Whitechapel (I think) LOL and saw parliament, Big Ben, Downing Street and all the way down to Trafalgar Square. We then got back on the tube and went and had a mooch round Harrods, then coffee in Starbucks. Back on tube to Green Park, walked through the park and saw the Palace and then back to Train station and home. |

Probably one of the hop on hop off sightseeing tour buses would be your best bet.http://www.theoriginaltour.com/
As for weather thats difficult to say its often quite mild in London but be prepared for rain. |

I think the tour buses are expensive, I would do this:
Search www to find all the places you want to visit Print off a tube map and mark the places of interest (some have the same tube stop). Then you have a route to work with Get to london purchsase a 24hr tube ticket approx £5.00 per adult and away you go... Hop on & off the tube and see everything you want... HTH's xx |

Where I work is a bit of a tourist trap.
more london Tower Bridge, The Tower of London, HMS Belfast, The Gherkin, Potters Field Park and City Hall. (I can see that stuff now from my desk) Then round the corner (2 min walk) is London Dungeon, The London Tombs and Hays Galleria. There's lost of stuff to see round here - quite a lot for free and it's clean with lots of security (to keep Boris safe There are lots of nice places to eat to - Gaucho, Dim T, Strada, Cafe Rouge, All Bar One and Pizza Express. When you come to london make sure you either go to www.vouchercodes.co.uk and print of a 2for1 ticket (meals and things to do) or book your dinner on toptable - you get deals like 3 courses for £20 and a free drink..... Definatley go to Westminster, and try to take buses where you can. (if you grab an oyster card from a train you save a bundle) I found during the tube strikes when i had to take the bus i saw sights i had no idea where just round the corner! x |

Lunch at the Ritz
Boat trip to Grenwich or ideally Kew Gardens - a good bit of historical and entertaining commentary . The Tour Bus (you can get a ticket where you can get on and off all day) - it gives a fab overview of London with a great commentary. Dine at The Ivy in the evening (if you can get a table). Theatre. A great website for deals is www.toptable.com. Ennjoy & have fun!!! |
