If it bothers you that much why don't you get one of those No Cold Calling stickers, I think you can get them from your local police.

Not on a pink cloud then! I don't think think 7 is late but I do understand. If you are upset by this I would get a sticker from the police and add to that no leaflets.

No one would pay attention. Its soooo dark here you can't see so well and if I stuck one on - it would be ignored and I would look about 90!

My last house did have one - never stopped anyone. It had been left on from previous owners and I never moved it.

Cold callers don't bother me per se, nor do leaftets, but I thought to do both the council had to give permission and 4-5 charity requests a week is a joke. A little common sense with these people would go far.

See if the milkman had put a leaflet through the door I would have looked at it and perhaps considered it. The fact he knocked on loudly at 7pm got my back up. Oh well, I don't feel quite so guilty today - back to my cloud lol! x

Get an outside light and a peep hole thingy (don't know the name) put in your door. These things are not expensive and worth the extra expense for the extra security.

Don't answer the door if you don't know who it is. Put a sign beware of the rottweiler on the gate or somewhere where it is easily seen. Yes it does work with strangers. lol

Yes but the milk delivered would have been nice but then again he would be knocking the door every week to get paid.

Me thinks somedays we all need to count to a hundred and just think of that lovely pink cloud lol.

I too hate halloween. I'll open the door between 6 and & 7:30 cos thats when the little kids are out and in their costumes. After that it is all hoodies. One group kept bugging us last year so my brother opened his bedroom window and threw a bowl of water over them. They left.

As for cold calling..what a pain in the backside. Does anybody buy from them? Our entire village was given bright yellow GO AWAY stickers and everyone has them so they've had to back off.

Automated phone calls drive me crazy, but if you can actually get hold of a real person and tell them to remove your name and number from their list, they are legally obliged and cannot call you again.

For sales calls I am registered with the TPS. Helps deter a lot of them.

And as for halloween I go out - although this year I have no kids of my own so may be in - Guess whos getting her water pistol out then
