i hope someone can help. 3 weeks ago i went for a consultation for extensions. The deposit was £50 but i gave the girl £100 so that it was less to pay later. she said she would contact me when the extensions came and then after a week id still mot heard anything. i text and got no reply so i called later that day and she said they had been sent but were held up in the post, so another week past of texting and only sometimes getting replies and still no hair. she then said she had reported them missing and the company were going to resend so i just askedf if it was possible to get a refund instead and she said yes thats fine whats ur address and ill drop it off. I was busy so text her it a few hours later and got no reply. A few days passed and still no money so i text her last night and she said ''you never sent me your address'' so i sent it again and she said ill bring it as soon as i can probably in the morning(today) so i phoned her today and her phone is off!! i know someone that knows her so i got her house number and called her and she said im justr waiting on my mum coming to take me to the cash machine and then ill be over in 30mins to n hour. That was 2 hours ago and her mob is still off.

I really think she is just making up excuses. Is there anythin i could do to get my money back? |She didnt give me receipt but i have texts from her . xx

sounds like she is bluffing to me.. although i could be wrong but seems that way..

if you have her address id go to her house and be like 'i thought id make it easier and come to you as it seems your having difficulty getting to me'

i think she is at it aswell but not sure if there is anything i could do. when i called her house this morning she i said ill come and pick it up but she said my mum is going to bring me over im just waiting on her picking me up to go to the cash machine but just as i thought she didnt come xx

I would go to her house and tell her i am not leaving till i get my money.

ive called her again and said ill just come over for the money now and she said im just leaving now but that was half an hour ago. Im working tonight but will go over tomorrow. the thing i dont get it when i said about the refund i expected her to say no or that i would lose some of it etc but she was like yeah thats fone no probs ill bring you the money. xx

from what you said before you should get it all back. as its not your fault she hasnt got the hair (if ive read it right).. she should give it all back..
its not like you cancelled or never turned up etc

definetely go to her house and she would say she is just leaving now so you wont come.

its annoying when clients mess you around but for the therapist, stylist etc to do it isnt right either.

Did she give you a receipt for the deposit?
I'm suspecting she didn't.
Does she work in a salon or just mobile?
I would just go to her house every day until she gave me the money back!

nope didnt get a reciept i only have texts from her to prove it. she is mobile and works from home, i had got her number after seeing a girl i know who got extensions from her and said she was good.xx

I'd go round and try and get my money. If she still hasn't got it, tell her you will give her 48 hours to get it to you otherwise you will have no alternative but to go and see a solicitor.

is there anything a solicitor could do without a receipt?xx

Usually the threat of a solicitor is enough to get them to hand over the money

lets hope so lol ive tried calling her house again and this time it has rung out so i gave her 20 mins incase she was on her way and still nothing so i have text her house phone saying that if this is not sorted by tomoro then i have no choice but to contact a lawyer. Id rather spend 100 on a lawyer to get it back than let her have it. I also doubt that she is declaring this work she does at home and doing things legally as she mentioned to me that she never advertised and thats probably as she cant get too busy without being caught. i feel so stupid for giving her the money in the first place. I had also given her number to two friends for extensions but ive since told them to stay clear of her xx

got a text fromk her last night saying oh sorry my mums car broke down so i couldnt come over bla bla can you collect it tomoro

so my boyfriend went there this morning as he works in th town she lives in and she gave him an envelope but when he looked in there was only £50 in it. she now ignoring the phone even though ive told her im going to the police. my bf also said her house was empty so i think she may be moving. does anyone know if the police could do anything?

you need to get a crime number!!!
do the texts state that she owes you £100 if they do they will be able to do something about it... if not i dont know what they will be able to do
