Just wondering if any of you name your cars & do you have a story behind it?

My 1st car was a mini called Micky. (Minnie & Mickie, lol)

Another 1 was called Ozwald. It was green & I was thinking up shades of green. I came up with Emerald, then, through word association, went to Emerald City, Wizard of Oz, Oz, Ozwald.

I know, my brain works in strange ways sometimes, lol

Of course!! You mean there are people who don't name their cars!!!!???

A (very) old Vauxhall Viva called Fanny
A white Ford Escort called Minge (registration ended MNJ)
A Fiat Panda called Chi-Chi (whatelse would you call a panda?)
A Ford Fiesta called Fester
A purple Suzuki vitara called Barney (he looked like the barney the kids thing)
A red Ford Mondeo called Scarlet
A caravan called Vanessa

Oh yes, I have a long history of naming (most of) my cars:

(1) Beige Bandit - beige Peugeot 205 GL 1.1 petrol

(2) Red Rocket I - red Peugeot 309 GL 1.6 petrol

(3) Silver Spaceship - silver Citroen BX 1.4 petrol

(4) Red Rocket II - red Citroen AX 1.1 petrol

(5) Red Rocket III - red Peugeot 205 1.8 diesel

(6) Red Rocket IV - another red Peugeot 205 1.8 diesel

(7) Purple Phreak - burgundy/purple Renault 19 1.4 petrol

(8) Hissing Sid - Citroen XM 2.2 diesel

(9) Turbo Hearse - dark grey Subaru Legacy 2.0 turbo petrol estate

(10) The Van - white Renault Trafic minibus

(11) Hippy Wagon - white and blue LDV 400 series minibus

(12) The Focus - silver Ford Focus 1.8 diesel estate

(some of the names are a bit boring like The Van and The Focus lol)...

I forgot The Pug - red Peugeot 309 1.9 diesel (which had a sticker on the back saying I Love Pugs, and a tax disc holder with a black Pug dog on the back of it)...

I currently drive Maud the mini and before that I had Pedro the fiesta!

No but I can safely say mine has acquired a few I cant print after it broke down on the motorway in August and one costly engine strip down and rebuild later ever minor hiccup gets it called something by me, but I cant repeat it here!!

Just remembered I had Sybil the Saxo.

If you had a phone in that car, would it have been a Saxophone???

I've currently got Cory the Streetka (because the numberplate is COR), and I did have Polly the Punto. For some reason I never named my KA.

My partner has had Vera the Vectra, Foxy the Focus and now has Stacey the Subaru.

Talking of numberplates, I am well chuffed with the one on the Hippy Wagon, as it ends with 9UTH (which almost spells Ruth) - I am going to keep that numberplate, even if the hippy wagon ends up at that big festival in the sky one day...

My car is an M reg so i call her Minnie mouse

I currently drive madge the paj a mitsibishi pajero/shogun
dawns car is a bmw coupe its called gonzo as it has the letters GNZ in the reg number
and the company transit van is Betsy
