Just about to book to go to New York for my Birthday in Feb/March I want to splash out !

Can anyone tell me of somewhere really nice to stay. (3 days)

And some of the 'must' things to visit/see.

it was an okay hotel...basics of what you need... altho i did blow a fuse with my hair dryer!!...oops!!.....lol
if you wanted a slightly nicer hotel there was a holidayinn next door

Hiya,

Went last Novemebr and stayed at The Roosevelt, on Madison and (42nd I think). We had a 'budget room' so it wasn't flash but enough room etc. the lobby etc. was all very posh, I'm sure If you pay more than we did you get a posh room!

It was a great location too, right near Grand Central station. The Empire state (a must do!!), Central Park, 5th Ave & Broadway all within 5/10 minute walk.

If money isn't an issue then get a helicopter ride, I did that when I went when I was 12 - it was FANTASTIC! A great way to see everything from above!

Last November we did a boat trip round the island, a good way lots and the best way to see Liberty IMO - 1st trip to NYC we went up, queues were huge (about 3/5 hours if memory serves me correct), no lift so had to walk, her head is TINY so only 3 people fit at once - and to top it all it was cloudy!!!

There is sooooo much to do, you won't fit it all in!
