I know, I know, no biggie to most people
But I didn't go last year because my panic attacks (and fear of panic attacks, that lovely never-ending circle...) put me off travelling that far, and also the crowds and everything... I'm just no good in crowded or confined spaces, unless I have preplanned how to get out if I start getting panicky. But I've just registered for this year and done my AA route plan. One thing though, I can't seem to get the floor plan to load. I know this sounds very odd, but I have to have worked out where all the toilets and exits are before I go, so if anyone has managed to download the floor plan, could somebody email me a copy? Then I'll know that everything is sorted and I can get on with writing my shopping list! Looking forward to meeting some Geeks... What day is everyone going? xxx |

Good on ya Girl ! I know exactly how you feel.I don`t even go to town without my Mum and I`m 38!!.I hate people ( I know it sounds mad ) but I feel like they`re all looking at me and even avoid family gatherings if I can help it.It was crap having to go on a plane to America,so many people so close.I won`t even go for a wee!!.Thats why I don`t enter nail art competitions at shows,I`m okay if I can do them at home.
I`ve got to go to my mums ladies night `cos my dad is master in his masonic lodge this year and I`ve got to sit at the top table facing everyone else. So your not alone,I`ll be thinking of you,All the best Daryl. |

I can't get the floor plan to download either - I think there's a problem with it. Why don't you PM Kathryn and see if she can help?
Well done though on drumming up the courage to go - I admire you! I'm sure you'll have a fantastic time...Im in two minds whether or not to go myself - the lecture schedule is really good - but it's such a long way for me to go... |

Hiya,
I work for Nailorder, we're going to be at Excel so when you go pop over to our stand and say hello, good to put faces to names! I have tried to get hold of a floor plan for you but ours is HUGE and wont scan cuz its too big! so I apologise, i'll see if i can find a smaller one for you. Alysha |

As if by magic -

Ok...
Just been on to our 'web master' and I had a pop-up blocker on my computer which was preventing me from downloading the file of the floorplan. If anyone else has the same problem, simply highlight the message in the pop-up window, click on it, go to settings and click 'turn off pop-up blocker'. That should sort that one out. The file of the floorplan is a high resolution file so will take a while to download, hence why some of you may be having problems. So please be patient and it should download. But never fear, if you are still having problems online, we are sending out a show newsletter to all pre-registered visitors in the next few days which will have a hard copy of the floor plan in it. To pre-regisiter for tickets please call 0870 429 4402. Hope that helps everyone. Ta Kat xxx |

anxiety and panic attacks -
14-01-05, 12:54 PM
Just wanted to let you know that I suffered with panic and anxiety attacks for 8 years. What helped me in the end was the Bach Flower Remedies. Buy one of the books, look up which one matches your situation and use the corresponding drops.
I used the drops under my tongue 4 times a day, and within a few weeks I calmed down remarkably. After that I just used the Rescue remedy drops in panic occassions (which were rare at this point). I am now fully cured. |

Well done on for overcoming the panic attacks, I suffered from them when I was a teenager and now I only get the occassional one in crowded pubs.
Hope you enjoy the show and if you get abit edgy remember all your fellow geeks who are walking around you (Unless that brings on one!LOL!!) Well Done again |
