Just got back from the NEC show it was great fun!I saw Glorsclaws and Jacky and some other geeks.It was a great shame Sam (The Nail Geek) wasn't there he was missed loads! I came back with loads from Creative and might go back tomorrow! !


Anyway!nice to meet you Glorsclaws and Jacky i can now put names to faces and any other geeks that were at the show!

Was it really really busy?? i had every intention of driving over today, but i got sidetracked doing bookwork (fun i know). so i will go tomorrow. What was there? anything exciting?

I just arrive back also, saw many nail geeks but I was abit shy to say "hi".

Saw a bit too much flesh, everyone seems to be going crazy on airbrush tanning. I wish I could go back on Monday as this would be an ideal time to talk to the demonstrators as it wouldn't be too crowded.

It's a shame Sam was not there, good luck with the operation Sam!!!

I would love to go, as i have never been to any of the shows, Elite, Olympia, Nec, etc.
I only started to drive last year so one i don't think i could find my way, and two don't know anyone really so wouldn't want to go on my own!

Maybe i will pluck up the courage and get there for the next one?

Am gutted i am missing them all! yeah i know my own fault, see how brave i feel next time.

As usual I felt nails was a little under-represented at this show, so glad to see Creative there.
Shame no Sam but, Amanda did great! Always good to see Marco
Nice too to meet Julia from Nailtopia in the flesh.
Katelisa ... may be plenty to interest you if you do tanning or beauty but, I dont so all my money went on the Creative stand ... well a girl's gotta aint she!

HAHA yeah im lookin for a spray tan system so i hope i can see one i like there. ive found that the last few shows has been all about the tanning. I love goin to the shows to see whats about but i never really buy anything because theres so much and i dont wanna be lugging it around with me while im there and i get so confused i get a headache!!! lol.

Christi... i always find it better to go on my own, because you can look at what you want to look at and there are no distractins!!! hehe. maybe a strong silent boyfriend is good to take to carry your shopping though!!! lol.

I cant wait till the Gmex in October! Looking forward to meeting all you geeks!!!Its the only one i can go to and its so much fun!!!!

Hi Glor- I too was there today- sorry i missed you & Jacky but unfortunately dont know what you look like so couldnt say hi- did recognise Minkus, Nailstyle & Lucky star though so went & said my hello's!

If anyone watched Amanda do the demo instead of Sam it was my mum that she was using as a model- how cool was that although wish it was me instead. My mum was chuffed to bits although Very nervous, but Amanda actually said my mum was a calming influence on her because she was soo nervous, bless her. She did a great demo though.

Hi Angie- I did thankyou, it was along day left Devon @ 08.00- 2 hr drive to Bham-2 hr drive back- got home at 20.30- im shattered but it was well worth it. It was amazing though how we ran out of time there- had to rush round atleast the last quarter of exhibitors.

Learnt loads from Amanda on the Creative stand & it has now convinced me to try & save for my foundation course- didnt manage to get a demo of a Brisa nail though cos they were sooo busy, never mind.

Spent far too much @ Ellisons but cant wait for my stuff to arrive.

i prefered it to excel actually - not too big - not tooooo busy - still managed to spend LOADS and see some good demos on the creative stall. Note to self....NEVER EVER GO SHOPPING WITH NAILSTYLE.......MAKES ME SPEND TOOOO MUCH MOOLA.

I have to say if Creative had not been at the show I would have been mightly peeed off for travelling 2 hours to see the rest of the stuff on offer - I might be out of order saying this but and I mean no disrespect to the others there but where were the other Nail Peeps?

It would be great to see more Nail Distributors/representatives to support this show as for us Northern Nail Technicians as its a long wait to Gmex other than trailing down to London which isn't always possible.

So I hope (fingers crossed) that if a go to BB next year there will be more of the other big players there.

So thanks to Creative for making my journey worth while
