theres a good place here in northampton, my husband has had a tattoo removed with great success. reults vary according to the kind of pigment used in the inks, surprisingly, black responds first, then i think its red, with turquoise being the most difficult to shift. the laser is fired at the tatoo and breaks down the pigment, which is reabsorbed by the body and dispersed naturally. it takes several treatments to remove the whole tattoo. its not painless either, but its well worth the trouble to be rid of an unwanted tattoo.

Yes I have read that Black is the best colour to get rid of and the Turquoise was the worst.
How many treatments did your hubby have and how large was his tat? How much did this cost? I have a tat on my arm I would love to get rid of but I think it will be the money that stops me! I have seen places doing laser for £80- £120 a session and it could take up to 8 sessions. What laser did they use I know there is a new one called Ruby laser. What was the healing like? has he got a scar or any sign of the Tat? or is the skin lighter now? Thanks caz xxx Quote:

Hi, I have a tattoo I would love to remove but can't afford laser right now! I bought "Tattoo Off" over the internet. It is a 3 lotion process twice a day and over time it breaks down the inks and fades. I haven't been using it for long but I think it's faded alittle - only time will tell. It's something you can apply yourself & pain free - so it's convenient. It wasn't cheap but cheaper than laser for now, it might work out worth it in the long run. Good luck what ever your brother in law opts for.

I am a member of a TATTOO site people on there all want to get rid of there tattoo's there was not really good feedback on this "Tattoo Off" I have not tried it myself but they have all said that like yous aid it is quite a lot of money and might only fade it a tiny bit if that! I am not sure if I would waste money on this but this is only my view.
I do really think Laser is the way to go if you can afford it, I do know that there is a thing that you can have Tattooed into the Tattoo if you know what I mean and this breaks up the ink maybe someone else will know what this is. Caz xxx Quote:

hubbys tat is about 2 inches across on his neck. he has had about 12 treatments on it at £50 each.you have the treatments at least 6 weeks apart. the healing time from the treatment is about 3 days in total, though its obviously more tender on the first day. it needs another zap to finish it . there is no scarring. the skin is a tiny bit lighter but only if you look really hard. his tattoo is mostly turquoise, so its slow going, others dissapear faster. since he started going to the clinic, he has got to know the owner because he has done some work for her[he's an architect] and shes told him that at the other clinic she owns in harley street they charge much more for the same treatment but as prices and demand are lower in northampton, its much cheaper here.
p.s it is a ruby laser by the way |

I have 4 tattoos and have had laser on one but i couldn't stand the smell! (think bacon)
I'm now having a treatment in Derby - the only place in the country which is called Tattoo erase... They tattoo this clear stuff (very technical) into my tattoo in little circles, then when it scabs up and falls off it takes the colour with it. I was sceptical at first but after my first lot of scabs came off i was left with loads of little skin coloured circles! Going for my 3rd treatment next month. Cheaper than laser and less painfull too... http://www.tattooerase.com/ |

Thanks my tat is around the top of my arm not the whole way round it does not meet under the arm.
It is like an Ivy a thing black wavy line with little black leaves and another little pattern but all black and all just in the thickness of a pencil line other than the leaves which are shaded in black. So no colours all black. So maybe this will not be too hard to get rid of but I have just looked at the site and they do this in only a very few places in the UK and none right near to me I think I have a choice of 3 places one which is London Harley Street. Thanks Caz xxx Quote:

I know what you mean! It's my sisters weddig next month - trying to find a dress with sleeves - impossible!
I have a huge colletion of cardigans and shrugs now! It definately is worh the journey if you can make it to one of these clinics - When you have laser it doesn't take to colour of straight away - just fades it through the treatment. I had it on that little cross and it was £60 and you could bearly tell and they said i would need 12 treatments! They said it would be roughly £2000 for my band!!!!!!! And you only have this treatment every 6 weeks too.. God i sound like i work for them! I have tried everything though... I was one of the first to have this treatment in the uk last year. I have even tried Dermablend make up but it er just looks like you've put make up on our tattoo..... |
