I had put in the garbage bag together with other household waste. I know recycling is important but I think poor people need better things than these old+ugly boots.
right decision or wasteful ?

Put them in the recycling. They will still be sent to Third World countries. The leather will be cut up and used to make all sorts of things, some which can be sold on like purses belts or bookmarks etc.

hell no. old leather for the Third World ?????.....than I think....better for the environment to put these old boots into the garbage bag.

.....Get rid of them before you make a fool of yourself !
Dump them in the household refuse !!!
