one of the areas affected was Kings Heath, my Nan used to live there, I was surprised to see so much destruction when we saw the pics on the news.
the fireman they interviewed said it was unbelievable that there were only a few casualties and nobody was seriously injured. there was a car that was parked on the hardstanding at one house and it ended up on its side up against the front room window of next door |

Hi,
I live in Moseley and was in Kings Heath on the way to the hairdresser's when it happened. I had a chimney pot fly past my head ! It only lasted about 3 min max, but it was the most fantastic experience for me. Now this might sound a bit weird, but it was so fascinating to watch. We had two windows knocked out and quite a few trees & branches fell into our property. The tornado followed a very specific path, therefore, some houses were really badly damaged and others were perfectly fine. River |
