Been watching Jades Salon on Living Tv, and i'm not creative trained yet (1 week to go for that), but i saw she was using creative Nail Varnish on a pratice manicure she was giving on a trainer.

Here's my question: Why when applying red nail varnish, did she turn the clients hand over and paint under the free edge? am i missing something here, as i was taught to be careful why varnishing to make sure no varnish has leeked under the free edge.

I've been watching it too - I didn't see what she was using (and as a beginner wouldn't be able to answer your question anyway) BUT........I thought I heard her say she was using jessica nail range and spending thousands on stock.

Jade is quite an inspiration to watch - she makes me think if she can do it so can I! I loved the bit when she said she thought the King and queen sorted out pensions! blessssss!!! It will be interesting to find out if it all happens for her, she's spending a lot of money getting her salon kitted out!

I too have been watching it, she is fab, and makes me feel so much more organised!!!

Jade was using Jessica not creative, and yes she did paint the underneath of the nail, I haven't seen this done before and wasn't told to do this when doing Jessica training. I don't know if this is a new thing.

I also loved it when she cut the models toe , I was creased up the look on the trainer's face - she looked mortified!!

Do you mean like capping the free edge ? as some people paint this way so you cannot see the tips showing especially if they are painting over a white tip, just as some people paint the white on top of the pink when doing a French paint, which I personally don't like the look of, but some people like..

When you paint under the free edge this is known as an american manicure just read about it in elaine almonds, manicure pedicure book.

I can fully understand why her business partner doesn't want her to work on clients, i like Jade BUT think she is very unprofessional on her approach to the industry. I don't think i would have laughed at cutting a clients toe, or if she's cut me.

oh i just love watching jade, she makes me laugh and go in to shock. i dont like how she treats her boyfreind, bless him.

And how on earth did she pass a manicure she couldn't even file that poor womans toe nails properly.

I love watching it, but do cringe at some of the things she does! Yes she does treat her boyf badly, did you see when it was her birthday and he cancelled dinner at gordan ramseys. He does seem as if he gets walked over a bit though. Do love her tho, she def has the gift of the gab!

i couldnt stand her in big brother , i wanted to slap her but now i think shes fab, she really is down to earth and watching her makes me feel loads better about how i organised i am , and my working methods too ,

Ive been trying to watch this too, but missed the first half an hour on monday so must have just missed this part. I havent heard or seen anyone painting under the free edge either. But i can understand where Jac is coming from if they have white tips on. I didnt really like Jade either in big brother, and it seemed as though everything fell into place as soon as she left the house. Boyfriend,then two kids,made a wad of cash and now Buying her own salon, and it all happened to a normal person like us! She deserves to go a long way. If she can do it, anyone can. But i have to say she does treat her boyfriend like dirt, but i heard he dissapears soon out of the programme as they are no longer an item.
