When me and my partner went to Amsterdam we walked round looking for a vegetarian restaurant as he's a veggie. We found a little cafe with a green leaf in the window so thought we'd go in there, you know, vegetarian. He had a salad and I had a cake.....well, the more I ate the cake, the more I wanted. I finally came round 3 weeks later lying on the bathroom floor with my face in my Pifco facial sauna......I havent a clue where we stayed but you will both love it.

Check out www.jet2.com, they have some really cheap flight offers on at the moment. Manchester to Amsterdam £1 each way. The tax is usually around £15 each way, but £30 return each is very cheap!!
British airways fly to Amsterdam from Manchester www.ba.com and easyjet fly there from Liverpool. Amsterdam is lovely, loads to do/see, the famous coffee bars, The house were ann Frank hid out, the diamond shops!!! My favorite was the van Goch museum. I stayed at Hotel Krasnapolsky, right in the middle of Dam square, but there are loads of nice hotels there |

Yup, Amsterdam has some interesting places to see. Last time I was there we took my god daughter around the shops and you have to be so careful which ones you walk into. There are some toys they really shouldn't be buying at that age. I can at least remember the hotel though ... Colin |

we went Monday to thursday coz we cheapskates and it was cheaper. When we got there our rooms weren't availabe so we upgraded to a suite which was supposed to cost an extra £200 per room, but when we went to pay at the end of the stay, they were muckng about so much working out how many toblerone's i'd eaten from the mini bar - they forgot to charge the upgrade! |

I just did a group booking for a wedding, the girls told me all about their hen night in amsterdam it sounded a riot !!
HOWEVER, they originally booked somewhere and found it was in a well dodgy area, luckily someone who had been b4 warned them and they changed the accomodation b4 they went - lost quite a lot of money - so if anyone can recommend you a hotel that would probabaly be really helpfull. Let me know how you get on i want to go there or Barcelona for my birthday ! Try ryan air and thomson fly. HAve fun AMb x |

try a google search, Amsterdam hotel... see what comes up and make your choice from there...
for flights there's loads of cheap airlines, easyjet, ryanair, thomsonfly, jet2, and also try BA as they sometimes have bargains. you might be best to check out flights before the hotel to ensure you get a good deal. good luck |

Hi Louise,
We literally booked our Amsterdam holiday for New Year on Monday. We are flying with BMI Baby from Birmingham and staying at the Seven Bridges Hotel. This hotel comes highly recommended and has also had a couple of write-ups in the Sunday Times Travel Section. www.sevenbridgeshotel.nl If you do a search on the web, you will find loads of reviews on this hotel. Over new year, the rooms are €120 - €145 per night. This works out to about £84 - £101 per night. Their rates might be slightly cheaper at a different time of year. However, as a rule, hotels are very expensive in Amsterdam, so don't hold your breath finding something cheap. There are loads of musuems and art galleries in Amsterdam, but if you fancy something different and a bit of a laugh, you should go to the RLD and have a wander through. It really is an eye opener ! Hope this helps. River |
