Hiya Geeks, I have a client who reps and sells Virgin Vie products. She loves the products and I have another client who is absolutely mad for the product as well. I have been asking loads of questions about Virgin vie and will soon be meeting with a supervisor to find out more about becoming an agent. I thought this might fit in well with my nails but don't want Virgin Vie to take over the importance of my small nail business. Have any geeks done something similar and what are your experiences with Virgin Vie? Should I go for it. Apparently the basic start up costs are about £160 so it's not like I would be spending thousands. Appreciate any input please.

the virgin vie products are excellent, a friend of mine was a rep for them for quite a while.
i can't speak personally about mixing the 2 (nails and make-up) but i would imagine they would go together well, kind of hand-in-hand.
you will probably get nail bookings from doing the virgin vie party's and vice versa so it makes good business sense

why not start off being a christmas consultant??

its great ive just started being a christmas consultant and have done great sales so far. i went to the big meeting yesterday for virgin and some of the ladies there have really made a great go of it.

sorry i would just like to add that a lot of my nail clients think its great that i can offer virgin along side my nail and beauty. and most of my clients have placed orders with me. i also have my kit in my car when i go to clients so when i tell them if they seem interested i then show them my kit.

Nimue was mentioned in her thread as being really good but to tell you the truth, I've never heard of it.

I have been doing this since february it has worked pretty well as i take my nail flyers with me to parties and a lot of people ask me questions - only had one new customer from this though.

The big problem at the moment is that christmas is a busy time for both businesses so i have decided to wind down the virgin vie as it can get expensive to keep buying the top up kits to demonstrate and i want to put as much time as i can into nails. hth

Thanks Nik, this is what I am worried about as I don't want VV to take over nails or obstruct it in any way, but the idea sounds great as it would add to a business I already have.

How strange...I wne to a Virgin Vie party the other week and done a few manicures, hoping to attract some new clients, which I did. But also Im having a meeting next week with the area manager to discuss becoming a rep for their make up range. Good luck with yours

I have recently started doing parties for Stringfellows. Its handbags jewelry watches lingerie bedroom buzzies ect and its worked brilliantly alongside the nails. I have a stand on my nail desk with leaflets and as Im also mobile I take some cataloges along with me for my clients to look at and the response has been amazing. I also take my nail information to the stringfellows parties and as my own nails are usually funky, I get comments and get to pass my cards around. The two can work well but be prepared to be quite 'forward'.

The area manager for my area has just had a baby so I am being referred to someone else. Does it concern you that so many people are delving into Virgin Vie and that there may end up being too many of us?

'Being forward' is not a problem for me. My hubby says I should have been either a lawyer or an estate agent. Not sure if that's a compliment, lol.

One good thing about stringfellows is that they are really new to the market and the public response is great. Theres not many of us so room for all of us...
