Hi all,

Just need to get this off my chest...

Today i did another leaflet drop in the hope to help drum up some more business.

I received a missed call from a potential client. However she was wanting them done either tonight/tommorrow ~ i was fully booked, also wanted gel overlays ~ a service i dont provide.

You can imagine how p****d off i was! I contacted her back to offer acrlyic overlays & explained i was busy but could fit her in at weekend. Lady explained that it was gel she really wanted & needed them doing asap, but she thanked me for ringing her back, so at least she knew i had made the effort to contact her back which made me feel a little better.

But still miffed that i lost a potential client!

Why don't you order the gel kit from EzFlow (i'm presuming your trained with them because of your signature), because the instruction video comes with it (or at least i think it does, they sent me a brochure a while back). see how you get on.

i think that this is why it's really important to aim towards being a full service technician, that way we don't have to turn clients away apart from being fully booked.
it's a shame you couldn't do her nails but you did the right thing by ringing her back.
did she say why she didn't want anything other than gel? sometimes clients think they know what they want but in reality they don't have a clue, no offense intended to any clients reading this post

Why don't you ring her back and ask her why she wants gel. Then offer to do one finger free of charge in L&P and see if she likes it. make sure its the best nail you've ever done!!!! if she does like it, she'll be back for a full set (this is a tip that Marco gave me).

Louse - That should be your New Year's resolution (It is one of mine) - to become a full service technician so that those customers we let slip through our fingers can't next year!

Thanks Antonia for that great piece of advice,im going to ring her back & offer her this,although she was quite insistant that she wanted it doing asap & unfortunately im booked till Sat!
