I think it depends on your skin. I burn very easily but this year as I had booked to go to egpyt I was determined to help myself any way I can. I went on the sunbed for about 2 months before I went away, not every day or anything, a couple of times a week, and then I started off with factor 35 for the 1st 3 days and then went down to 15 and I didnt burn or peel and this was the 1st time in my life I havent burned or peeled!

No sunbeds dont stop you burning, you still need sunscreen. I just found personally it stopped the normal burning i get in the 1st few days as my pale skin needs to be exposed gradually so I found building it up on the sunbed worked for me, going to somewhere as hot as egypt.
