A local "top notch" hairdressers, did my friends hair extensions and cut them to shape.

The next morning she woke up to find all her hair matted, the glue had gone all strange and they had not left the scalp space.

she paid £595.00 for that pleasure.

i think anyone with an ounce of brain cell can see that the local mma butcher aint no top notch salon honey ! There cheap n cheerful and thats the kind of client they attract.

my sis in law is doing hair extensions. She is a hairdresser and has been for years. The hair costs £30 and she charges £130 for them being done. She said she would put some in for me and only charge me for the hair but I dont think I will do it as Im too scared it will ruin my hair. Well, I should say I am scared SHE will ruin my hair as Im sure its the same with hair and nail extensions, its not the product that ruins your hair but the person applying or removing it. I know this sounds bad, having no faith in my own sis in law, but she did my hair for a few months. I have naturally blonde hair but its not a nice blonde and I always had highlights to brighten it up. I got bored so I decided to go brown with some blonde highlights about 18 months ago and she did it, it was nice but I had it redone a few times and the blonde seemed to be going whiter and whiter. I asked her a few times what she was using, as I am a qualified hairdresser myself and I know my hair does not need strong peroxide to lift, but being out of the business for about 7 years I am not up to date on current products. She insisted it was a blonde tint. Anyway I moved and started going to another salon and when I told my current hairdresser the name of the product she uses it was a bleach!!! Aaargh, no wonder my hair was snapping off!!!

Have you thought of trying the ones that dont glue in? I am scared the glue damages the hair. I am going to try the ones that you pinch in . They seem to grow with the hair, and can be loosened and pushed back up to the root and re-used. I hope i explained that ok..
