Probably best to practise on friends and family. When they are going out, just offer to do their makeup for them. Bet they will love it. The course is not too difficult. If its a daytime course, then it can be sometimes difficult for people to be your model as they might be working. Just try and keep up with the theoretical side of things, all your project and so on and you'll be fine. Its a fab course, enjoy! xx |

LCN sell practice heads for permanent makeup so you could try that - but better to do it on the real thing to get the blending right (the thought of this takes me back to when I used to ruin my Sindy dolls with makeup lol!)
LCN do a one day makeup course. It's really meant as a precursor to the permanent makeup course, but they do it for trained therapists too I believe. I did a year at college doing Level 2 cosmetic makeup, and I can honestly say that I learned more in makeup techniques in that one day with Teresa at LCN than I did in a whole year at college (too much focus on tinting and perming and not enough on makeup). Not sure how much it is, but their training is usuually pretty reasonable www.beautyconcepts.co.uk. This is the direct link to the course http://www.beautyconcepts.co.uk/make...p?SeminarID=31 Then of course I think Designer Nails through the ABC range are offering makeup courses, but I don;t know anything about them. |
