Aw hun, very painful isnt it. If you have pulled a muscle (achy pain) dont put a hot water bottle on it as it will already be swollen and the heat will agrivate it. If its a trapped nevre (shooting pain) then you can. I suffered with a bad back for the past three years. If its no betteer by tomorrow go to the doctors and try and get some anti-inflamitries such as diclafenic (votrol) I think you can also get these over the counter.

oh Lisa, you poor thing, back pain is the pits, isn't it? Not that you have a choice but take it easy, as lou said if its something like a trapped nerve or slipped disc heat helps but if you have an out of hours surgary in your area I would give them a call, at least they could give you an efective pain killer

Hi Lisa,
Sorry to hear you've got back trouble. It must be something do do with us larger ladies as i tend to suffer quite alot with my back. The area just below my waist on the right hand side is killing me too today. My hubby thinks it our bed, i'd love a Tempur one but i've not got a spare £1500! Anyway - i always swear by Ibuprofen Gel that you can rub in, i've used it this morning (Tesco's own brand) and it's worked a treat! I also find that you need to move around more! The more you rest the more you'll sieze up completely. You'll find that the more you move around as normal, the more the pain will go. That's what i find anyhow. I also depends on what type of injury you've given yourself too. If it's anything like me, just turning over in bed can 'do my back in!' Hope you feel better soon chuck!

Hi
Poor you can really sympathise, done my back in yesterday it hurt a bit but today it's killing, don't have any idea how i've done it either. Just started the cambridge diet and feel well crap and to top it all of my backs killing. It's never one thing at once is it. Like someone else said the gel works. You could try co-codomal as well. Hope you feel better soon. hugs xx |
