I did exactly the same as you last year, I spilt wine on my laptop...no backup files...I had to do the whole lot from scratch....since then I have only ever done my books on paper...I have a self-assessment tracker book which is really good if you are a one man band.....everything there for you to fill out and makes your tax return really easy!

if you can get on the computer is there anyway you can try a system restore?
This might enable you to get the file back and save a copy of it, what virus is it? Have you done a virus scan to remove it? |

just had a thought (quite dangerous i know) how about putting the basics things that you pay out eg- rent, electric, telephone. things like that until you are able to find something then at least you have it all started.
it was just a thought and it might help until you find something else xxx |
