We had this for a few years with our daughter. She used to cling to the doorframe and it took two of us to physically get her in the bathroom. At one time we used to sit her on my husbands knee and wash her hair whilst she was sat on his knee, whole bathroom soaked, he was soaked, but at least here hair get washed.
Then one day, we didn't put as much water in the bath and she laid back in the water and wet her own hair, we shampoo'd whilst she held a towel over her face, then she laid back in the water again herself, and we just soaked the water off with our hands cupping the water. Not ideal I know, but it works for as long as necessary. In between washes try one of the spray bottles to help with brushing, and we used to brush through leave in conditioner, just meant we could get away without washing it every other day !!!!.......... oh the joys of children .... good luck |

Not sure if this will help. My Mum hates water in her ears. I dye her hair for her. What I do is cup my hand around the ear and gentle pull the lobe down. I then pur the water over slowly and it drains away from the ear. Not sure if this makes sence

Thanks, guys, It's not so much the washing of the hair but the water in her ears. At the moment she holds a face cloth over her eyes and ears which makes getting to all her hair a bit difficult. The shampoo guard was fantastic when she was little but I now need a bigger one.
I have tried the squashy ear plugs that are a bit like blue tac that you squash and place over the ear hole - we might be able to persevere with this if I cant find anything better. I think the cotton wool would get wet LOL. |

When my little boy had his grommets done, we had special ear plugs made of plastic, but they weren't any good. I'd go with blu tac! xxxx sugar xxxxx |

Sounds daft but what about if she (or someone else) holds a little cup over both ears. You could also try washing her hair when she leans forwards over the bath and direct the water away from the ears. I allways hated water in my eyes, was manic about it. Still am!!! Good luck xx
