We did a business plan but luckily we were given an example to follow. You can download them on the internet, Its basically a bit about you and your business, what you do who your competitors are, how you can be different, cost of equipment, cash flow, profit and loss forcast, enclose a c.v too. Think thats it lol it sounds more complicated than it really is

Thats about right lol. I think you can get them from your bank free of charge if you are a new business. Its a bit daunting when you first start it but it is just really about you, what you have spent so far, what you charge and expect to make and when you expect to break even, how you want to expand, a competitors analysis, a c.v. If you give me your e-mail address I can (hopefully) send you a copy of the example I was given

I did an entreprenurial course a couple of years ago and the business plan was our final a business plan consists of the following:
Overview -- that is who you are what your business is, basically a summary Executive Summary -- Summarizing the players, who will run your company, how much money you will need, where you intend to get the money. Competitors -- you need to know the competitor in your area, what they offer, what they charge, basically who they are and what they do. Equipment Summary -- What kinds of equipment do you need?? How much is each piece of equipment?? Demograpics -- Who are you targeting your business towards?? How many of that group is in the area you plan to open at? Financials -- This is your accounting for up to a year, what you estimate you will spend on rent, equip, hirees, insurance...etc. There is a lot of work that goes into it and a lot of research, but once you get it done all you will have to do is tweak it now and again. There is a lot more information I can give you too, I just got to go find my books... HTH |

I did a course in business planning through my local college & it wasn't that hard with the course guide, but without it i would not have had a clue what to do ! I nearly packed it in more times than i care to remember,
Im not sure how much it costs though as my previous employer paid for me to do it. |
