We go to marmaris have been for 10 yrs we have some freinds that live there she's from manchester he's a turk we love it and so do the kids I would love to live there maybe when the kids are grown up.We're going 23rd july for 3 weeks

we are moving to just outside kusadasi. about 15 min from town cuase i dont want to live the totally tourist life, so a bit out the way

A couple of my friends have been to Turkey and they loved it! One got the most Gorgeous diamond ring I have ever seen. Huge!

My fella bought me a diamond ring yellow and white gold with half a carat of diamonds I bartered down to 270 quid got home and had it valued at hl browns and pa jewellers and they said the diamonds are the finest quality and the style is the jewellers own so its copy writed which I was told when I got it valued at 650 quid or 900 for insurance and every year we go back they polish it up for free I've bought loads since

i went to altinkum a few years ago on my own for a week and stayed with my best pal, who is a rep out there.....lovely place and great for families, will have to save up and get my backside back over again......lol great family place but me i want to go on my own again..pmsl

We went to Kusadasi 19 yrs ago for our honeymoon, and absolutely loved it. It must have developed so much since then!!!
Good luck with your new life out there, you're doing the best thing.
Seems like there's a lot of us moving abroad quite soon. Hopefully for a better life.

I really liked Turkey, bin twice with my mum and dad and would love to go back!!!!

i wil never never go back to turkey as long as i live went there last year with the family and went to a place (cant remember name) my baby he was only 15 mnth old got seriously ill towards the end of the 2nd week they never did much out there infact their concern was just crap we had to wait until we got back to the UK before anything was done, but then we had to wait for 6 hours in manchester airport before we could get a flight back to the isle of man. when we got home my babes was rushed in to hospital and put on a drip for 3 days he had gastroenteritas (is that how you spell it?) and he has been harbouring a parasite from that horrible place since.
Mind i did go to marmarus about 10 years ago and it was lovely there....

I am sorry to hear of your experience out there, and glad your baby was all right in the end. But you shouldn't really blame the country for it, it could have happened wherever you went.
Both my husband and I spent the second week of our honeymoon in bed, ILL, diarrhoea and everything, through something we ate, but still loved Kusadasi for a holiday.

thats terrible we have only been to marmaris although we went on a trip to dalyan and it was awful also my cousin went to spain and had an allergic shock to something she ate and the ambulance was nearly an hour she died that was 3 yrs since and she was 28 if it had been sooner treatin her she would be still here weve been to spain a few times but im not keen although salou is nice we have alot of friends in marmaris some originate from mancherter but i've never really wanted to go to other places in turkey
