Im set up in a conservertory at the moment, but next year i am having a cabin built with 3 seperate rooms, as im running out of space! I find it ideal with the kids being so young (i have 4 under 10) but it can be quite isolating sometimes...there are some things you need to look into, like council charges - some councils will try and charge business rates so its best to check, also some mortgage companies dont allow it, and certain home insurance polcies can be void if you dont inform them.hths

There was a thread about this not so long ago - there might be some interesting posts in there:

I used to use a corner of my dining room. Now I have took over the room which is 20foot square and we now have to eat in the morning room only. Its great having a dedicated room and we are lucky enough to have a downstairs wash room so clients are not going upstairs which I didnt fancy at all.
It was a bit pants this last xmas when we had to sit round our breakfast table in the morning room instead of glamming it up with all my finery in my gorgeous dining room... but to be honest ... for one day a year or the odd dinner party the room is being put to much better use now. Small price I think. |
