I love my products and only use ones that work for me, the ones that dont i dont buy and research and source them from elsewhere until find what works for me. there is nothign wrong with praising up your chosen products and letting others know what works for us.
It works in reverse as well when we are having problems wih a certain product we talk on here about it and solutions have been reached with companies when they have been made aware of it. or example when we had problems with the girlfriend buffers we soon realised ther were a lot of us having the same it was looked into, a change of manufacturer was noticed and a difference in application of the layers, sorted. To be honest i try to not take any notice of silly people who think im playing a creative are god thing and just laugh at them. |

I personally am of the understanding that if it works for you then use it, if it works well for you then shout it from the rooftops
If a product range isn't working for you after further training then maybe it's time to change brands. Some people refuse to believe the recommendations other people make, that's fine, and at the end of the day that's their personal choice IMO. I know what works for me, I'll tell other people what works for me and if there are some who don't want to hear it then that's their perogative ![]() There will, unfortunately, always be people around who talk down and/or bad mouth the product ranges used by other people, I call that ignorance! The fact of the matter is... you can't please all of the people all of the time! |

Hi,
Unlike a lot of techs just starting out, I started using Creative products from day one and never "tried" all the various other brands out there. I did a lot of research before I decided what brand to use and Creative came out tops every time, hence the reason why I chose them to use them. But like any girl, you see the pretty pictures in the Trade Mags and other companies telling you how brilliant their product is, that I for the first time since I started training, was tempted and bought another brands hand scrub. I was seduced by the pretty picture and the fragrance of the product. I waited with baited breath for the postman to deliver the parcel and couldn't get it open quick enough. The second I opened the jar, I knew it was a inferior product. I have tried it several times and have also asked a close friend of mine what she thinks of the product and we both agree, it doesn't hold a patch on the SolarManicure. I do truely believe that Creative products are the best. That doesn't mean that other companies products are not equally as good, but in my honest, humble opinion, I'm yet to find them. Marlise |

I try and offer as much advice about my chosen products as I can. I regularly post on here and I don't use Creative Products.
I don't understand why people have this opinion, I think this is a fantastic site for all nail techs. Nobody should ever be frightened or made to feel in the wrong because of their chosen products. I have recieved lots of advice from many geeks regardless of the products that they use and hope it continues. |

each to their own, ......we all have the right, it's even more fun though when you try everything, by everyone/company (or as many as you can), all the time. If you don't then you "are" product blind and may be missing out on something. Just because I like/prefer something, doesn't mean I have to wear a cheap nylon suit and knock on your door selling "my religion".

I have worked with Creative products for years....and when I had my own business I did TRY other products...but never found another product line that I would use on my clients....so I stuck with Creative....and now they are stuck with me!!
I do realise that there are a large amount of Creative tech's on here......that said.... I like the fact that this is a forum for ALL nail technicians and a lot would be lost if this was a Creative only site........ I respect that other Nail technicians love their products as much as I love mine!!..... |

I know exactly what you mean...if you are using a product and you like the product, there is nothing wrong with having loyalty to said product...If you are not going to tell others about your products, and you don't feel that it is wonderful...then why are you using it?
It is in a way a bias...I am bias towards my Tammy Taylor, but I don't go down someone's throat because they don't use it, there are sooooo many systems on the market and every one has their own perference. We are all individuals and we all have different personalites, training, and so forth, you choose what works for you and I choose what works for me and at the end of the day our goal is to produced beautiful nails....so what difference does it make what product you use? Long as you are capable and use a quality product...do what you do!! |

I am not product blind as I do not buy everything just because one company makes it, I have tried many makes of product over the years and I now use what works for me and gives me the best results. I use products by two of the top nail companies and will stick with these as I get everything I need from them. But in the future if something new comes out by a different company and it is better than what I am using then I would change
I see it like this just because you say like one perfume by dior doesnt mean you will like all there range. |

When I started doing my NVQ, I used The Edge products and then I pursued Creative. I went on Creative courses not because of their products but
because I heard they offered the best training. The Edge products were probably ok and I couldn't really criticise them cause I only used them when starting out and would have probably struggled with any products then. I love using Creative products and I think if it is not broken don't fix it. I have had samples from other brands but Creative always comes out tops for me. I am not product blind because I am always open to recommendations and am interested in what other manufacturers offer. I will only recommend to people products that I can honestly advise are the best in my opinion and knowledge. It works for me and I am happy. The site may be dominated by Creative technicians but that doesn't make it anti other manufacturers. There are loads of fab techs on here who give great input to this site who do not use Creative. This site wouldn't be as good without them and without their input. |

I'm gonna bring another train of thought into this thread - is the product you use geographically linked to where you live?
What I mean is I live only about 10 or so miles from Hyperion Group and had only heard of Creative nails - that's what most of the Salons use around the Leeds/Bradford area - is it the same for EZ Flow - OPI - Tammy Taylor etc?? I have tested the water where other brands are concerned and perhaps in the future may try some of them out - oh and - It's also the thought of paying for a conversion course as well that puts me off trying other brands Like other peeps have said - each to their own and if they like the product they use go for it - the best thing about this site is that the majority have a passion for creating beautiful enhancements Btw Fiona - great thread |

Good point Debbie..
It is different up here...as in Glasgow there are several training providers...NSI, OPI, Millenium to name a few....but in Edinburgh, as far as I am aware there really only is Creative....and people do travel from quite far afield to train there with us. Hence the reason for my recent thread ..Distance no object... I do think as Creative has a good solid reputation for their training that our courses are still booked to capacity.....and geography is not that big a factor. Geography, costs and time frame of courses are all important factors...but at the end of the day if the products don't live up to the hype..then it is all for nothing.....and with Creative you definitely get what you pay for. |

Why would I need to go and spend out the cost of another product, brush and all that comes with it - to risk having more problems than I might have at the moment - yes I might get less but then that would be a combination of perfect product and perfect tech but I am only as perfect as the next person LOL. |
