Hi all
This is my 1st time here. I am a mobile hairdresser in scotland and looking for some advice. Does anyone know if there is any kind of maternity pay that i could receive when we decide to start a family? I am self employed and pay class 2 national insurance. My income protection doesnt cover for being pregnant, only for being ill etc. Hope someone has some advice Sharon xxx |

Maternity Allowance is for those expectant and new mothers that are self-employed.
It is currently around £108 per week. This link should help give you the info you need Maternity Allowance factsheet : Directgov - Benefits and financial support |
