going darker

hiya all im in need of some opinions as i want to darken my hair ,at the moment i have some blond and brown high/lowlights i was thinking of going mainly brown with some honey highlights so it will be quite a change but am a bit scared of doing it(wimp)

what do you think ,has anyone had a change like this lately did you like it?

I love a change....i was for ever changing my hair colour at the moment i have red and blonde streaks with brown underneath..

i have graphfix instead of bleach so it doesn't do as much damage...

I think that sounds really nice, are you doing it yourself or going to a salon ?

Salons usually give a free consultation so they can advise if it will suit you etc.

im going to a salon ive also heard that going darker makes your hair appear thicker and you have less roots to contend with am i right?

Not sure about it going thicker but mine is certainly greasier than when it was blonde ! Yes roots aren't as noticable, so good for me when im on a budget

I got about 8 inches cut off mine last night & went blonder - i was so scared but i love it, my husband convinced me - bless him
I say go for it!!! - its made me feel like a new woman & having loads of complaments today is just what i needed at the moment xxxx

i had a dramatic change a couple of yrs ago, went from very blonde to very dark, took a while to get used to but now i love it and wouldnt change my dark hair for anything. went to a salon to get it done as wanted it done properly.
really glad i did it.

Hi Joolz

I was blonde for about 15 years. Last summer my hair was white blonde (going for the Gwen Stefani look

). Anyway, in March, this year, i decided to become a brunette.

My hair is very dark brown, almost black, and I love it. It shines so much more that my hair did when it was blonde, and I think that it is a softer look on my face.

Certainly took some getting used to though, but the change has been great.
