i havent worn a shirt for abt 8yrs...
the reason....i just cant get one to fit me right

i am a size 16 mostly in tops and sometimes the odd 18 but i need a shirt for work and im having such trouble finding one

first stop was Marks and spencers... tried size 18 too small on my bust and the 20 was still a wee bit tight there too but far too big everywhere else
i found one from dotty p's and it wasnt too bad but again didnt quite fit as im also petite (im abt 5ft 2) and i had to go for a size 20 which just seems so silly as normally im 16 in there
lots more shops later and i have 2 options....
try more shops or stick with the ones i found and hope for the best.....
so i went to next today found a nice shirt altho its got long sleeves .... it was a 16 fitted okay but again a wee bit of a gap but it has more 'stretch' to it than the others ive tried on... they didnt have an 18 in so i couldnt get it and there wasnt anywhere local that had an 18 in stock!

anyone got any ideas where i can try???

next does the best work wear, reasonable price and always washes well (can you tell I'm a mum!!)

My Mum is only tiny (height wise) but needs a big size 'cause of her bust, and she buys a lot of stuff at Edinburgh Woollen Mill - (they are all over the place, and not just Edinburgh!) She likes them because although she needs a larger size 'up top', she still has a waist (ie she goes in a bit!)and doesn't feel 'drowned'!

Not the height of fashion, I suppose, but very reasonably priced and for something in classic style like a shirt could be worth a go...

Evans can be a bit of a nightmare as they make everything really long as well as big.

Have you tried Next in the petite range as I think they go up to an 18 but wont be so long

Evans and asda or even tescos Jess they all do larger ladies sizes Oh and so does hennes. i ahve the same problem Jess and when you do them up theygape across the bust line very stylish lol x

Try Bravissimo, they do fab fitted shirts that come in three different boob sizes per dress size.

Because they fit your curves really well they look quite sexy compared to regular shirt, you actually get a waist also!
If you want to try them in a shop, your nearest store would be Brighton or one of the London stores.

You could buy a pattern that you like from a material shop and either make it yourself ot get a dressmaker to make it......tailored to fit like a glove!

You could have a boob reduction and then get a size 12 lol

Jess every top I own seems to have a safety pin in it. I'm a bit of a strange size so nothing ever fits right. x
I think safety pins are trendy, and if they're not I'm starting a new craze

i never normally do anything that has buttons... and stretch all the way as im a v odd shape..... totally out of proportion.... i really need to be abt 8 and a half stone and a size 8 or something!!!!......lol then everything would fit im sure!
