How weird is this...

After the gym last night the left side of my face started to swell around my nose and now its all the way up to my eye - i look like i've been punched but without the brusing.

I've got a appointment with the Doc later but i feel like a right freak :confused

that'll teach you for doing something healthy!!! how odd though, does it hurt? hope you get it sorted soonxxx

Is your nose sore actually inside, thats how my impetigo manifested itself but it was hellish sore inside my nose. Hope its not that its horrid.

Poor you! Hope you feel better soon! I had something like this once but I had been stung, shouldn't imagine it's that though!

When I was at college my only friend(!) said his face hurt, a couple of days later he came up to my room with his face swolen up huge on one side, just what I wanted to see first thing in the morning! At the doctors it turned out to be a infection in one of the glands in his neck, solved with anti-biotics. Not serious though,

It's sore to touch but just uncomfortable as is my eye - my nose is okay it kind stops there - how odd bet its a blocked glands, i do look odd though...

Very odd, sounds like an allergic reaction to me, I get them all the time around my eyes (im a sensitive soul!!!) Did you use soap etc on your face after going gym...your skin can be ultra sensitive after excercise!

It started just after i finished before I got home to shower so it can't be soap could be an allergy to working out LOL

It might have nothing to do with the gym or exercise it was most prob there before but where you worked out the heat, sweat etc brought it out...... what a mystery keep us posted hope your not in to much discomfort x x

have you been to the doctors we are all bursting to know.... oh thats if you are not in too much pain

Hi been to Doc's and its an abscess so i've got some strong anitbiotics to clear it up, if it doesn't go down i need to go and see him in the next couple of days

The swelling has spread as far as my left eye and was starting to close it!

My Doc said I need to be carefull not to touch it as that area is linked to nerves which go to to the frontal lob!
