Because it's my personal phone as well as business i do only say hello, it does confuse people sometimes as they think they have the wrong number, but by the time I've got chatting with them it's soon forgotten. I do leave a message with the business name on my answer machine though. I always worry when i phone someone and it clicks into answer machine, and then if it's not a personalised message I wonder if I have the right number!
It's worked okay this way for me for 5 years btw! |

I just say "Hello Louise speaking" sounds funny when you write it down!!! On my answerphone it says "Hello this is Louise from Skin Deep, salon beauty in your home, I'm sorry I cannot answer your call at the moment as I may be with a client, but if you leave your name and number I will get back to you as soon as I can."

Ok well I have a realy cool phone with caller ID . It has a section for friends and family . Then if one of these ring it tells me not only who is calling but the facia glows red!!!
If it does not glow red ( It will then glow green )then I know it is a bussiness call and answer in the name of my bussiness. |

This is what i'm worrying about! I've got 2 mobiles, one for work and one for personal but my friends call me on both (they get confused bless them) i just know they'll take the p*ss if i answer with a business manor, but i suppose i've just got to do it! Feels like being back in the call centre having to answer each call the same...." good morning, Lloyds TSB membership services linzie speaking, how can i help you" aahhhh!!!!!!!

I work from home. My home line is my business line.
I also live in the province of Quebec, in Canada that has Nazi-language laws. This means that it's absolutely mandatory that businesses answer the phone in FRENCH FIRST, and english is considered unecessary. If you answer english first, you can be fined. If you answer in english only, you can be fined. Soooo having said that, I answer "Victoria's?" If the nazi's don't like my name... TOO @#$%^&* BAD |
