well, the interview went ok, but there was no nice feeling when i went into the salon, it seemed cold to me. few discrepancies, but wont go into that. she was lovely, but told me that she may not need me for 2-3 weeks then it will be a trial of 4 weeks, im thinking she is gonna use me over the xmas period then get rid, so thinking im gonna look further afield. maybe york way

Mmmmm, I think you might be right. You don't need this. I understand what you mean about the 'nice feeling' though. Every time I go to my hairdressers, I can feel the vibe. It gives me the feeling of 'I like being in here'. Go with your gut instinct.

sounds to me like they're gonna use you over the xmas period. one thing though, if she does get rid of you, arn't the clients gonna be asking for you when they need an infill after the xmas period??
this could damage salon reputation, i mean, with aset of nails done by GM-Glynis, who'd have anybody else?? i'd bet ya those clients come looking for ya flower.

Hmmm. I think you're right Glynis and I don't think I'd be too keen on doing a trial period over Xmas. Keep looking cause I am sure there is something special waiting round the corner for you xx

Im so amazed that Glynnis is having trouble finding a job. I thought employers would be fighting over her.

It does sound like they may just want you for the Xmas period, you know the 4 week trial thing that just so happens to be over Xmas and New Year.

You are worth so much more than that! I get the feeling that something special is going to crop its' little head up soon.

I agree about her just using you over christmas. Try giving some salons a call that haven't advertised. I know of a salon that actually has a waiting list for therapists so they never need to advertise. You might get lucky. x

Gosh,if it were my salon I would be fighting to get you working for me.I dont think these salons have a clue a lot of the time. They should be banging on your door and queuing up for you to interview them.Good luck hun.xx

well, if glynis lived nearer, i would employ her no probs. its a nightmere looking for trained staff with experience, knowledge and a passion for nails. also, working late nights, they just dont seem to understand, that in this industry, you have to work after 5pm to fit in the clients who do work 9-5!
