I think it all depends on how long you have had the phone hun.. and where you got it from.. Car phonewarehouse are pretty crap when it comes to customer service.. if you have a recipet iand its still in date take it back and tell them it is not up to the standard that it was disigined for and you would like a replacement or a refund... or even write to the head office of erricson.. hth

ive had my k800i since the summer.... and it died on christmas day.... i had a memory card for it... luckily it has most of my data like photos etc... save on it and some other stuff ive down loaded to my laptop... like photos and vids ive taken... plus the music and things ive got saved too
i thought it mite be a battery or charger thing... but its nt the girl in orange said it mite be a software problem as she checked both the battery and my charger i love my phone and this is the only thing that has happend to it... altho as ive had to send it away and i didnt have a replacement plan or anything (ive had lots of dif phones since the late 90s and never had any real problem so didnt take it out)... luckily ive still got my old phone which works but i mite lose all my numbers which arent saved on it |

When I went in there the guy had the ruddy nerve to try to get me to have another contract with a different network.I would have 2 contracts running side by side I did say it was my business phone,in fact I have 2 phones, one is an old phone which I use for the business(pay as you go)and the other is my personal(the one that has been playing up)which is contract. I dont want to take sim out and use it in old phone as then I wont be able to get business calls from potential clients(I wish)Anyway.Looks like I will have to send phone away or put up with problem. |

The thing is,who wants 2 phones(3 in my case, lol)They thought I was stupid, glamming it all up pretending that they were doing me a real favour, what they didn't bank on was me NOT being so stupid that I didn't realise that in fact it was a ploy for them to start me from the beginning of my contract again, thus getting more money out of me. I have been with contract for 6 months, minimum time on it is 18months.The thing is if I did contract directly through O2 then I would have made so many savings,i.e free weekend calls, double the texts allowance I am getting now.The benefits of taking out contract directly through network supplier far outweigh getting through any phone shop.Never again. I want out of contract with phone shop and will start afresh with O2 directly making many savings. They know this and thats why they pretended to be doing me a favour.....NOT |

I have a new life now.... A happy life.... One filled with hopes and dreams....
But once upon a time I had a horrible life..... filled with hate and angst and stresses and worries..... One where I didn't wanna get up out of bed..... That life was ...~~~Working in a mobile phone shop for 13 years~~~... Basically.... After the amount of time you have had the phone, you are not legally entitled to a replacement, the store is unfortunately correct in saying the phone will have to be sent away. As far as a courtesy phone goes, this is again not a legal requirement. Where I worked (Vodafone) all contract customers got a courtesy phone if theirs had to be sent away. This is for 2 reasons, firstly it keeps the customer happy, secondly, if you have no phone, you can't make calls, you don't run up bills, we don't make any money! So a courtesy phone makes both good business sense and promotes good will. Like I say it's not a requirement for them to give you the loan of a phone, but I do know that they DO have phones in stock for this purpose! So basically you refuse to leave the store without one... Don't scream and shout, but firmly and politely refuse to leave! Ask for the Area Managers number to call him (this normally puts the fear of God into Sales staff!) Everything they say is legal and oftel will back this, but it is VERY poor customer service, and I for one would not accept it! |

Thankyou Lisa,at least you have answered my queries.Bit upsetting though that they are so quick to sell you these phones and contracts but basically dont want to know should anyone have probs.
I may ask them if they have a loan phone again.See what they come up with.xx |

Hey hun....ring the Sony Ericsson customer care centre....I'll find the number for you if you need it, and tell them you are not happy with both the phone and the service from Phones 4 U, so therefore are taking your query to the next level, as you cannot get satisfacory response from what you ahve done so far.
I worked for Ericsson for 6 years and knew a lot of the guys in this department, they should take it very seriously! |
