just gotta share this one with you LOL

a man rang me at 8.15am this morning saying he had got my number off the internet (fair enough) anyway he went onto say he is going to a fancy dress party as a woman and wanted a set of nails on (ok at this point i had a little giggle)

anyway he went onto say he wanted them this eve BUT he lived about 40 miles away but was going to be staying in a hotel about 5 miles away from me

anyway, as it happens i am fully booked tonight (i am mobile) and kindly suggested he went to boots and got some stick on nails just for the eve.

HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD ANY STRANGE REQUESTS???

I have no problem putting nails on a man if he so wishes BUT being mobile i have to be SOOOO careful and dont think my hubby would be too happy about me going to a hotel to do a mans nails

Good that you didn't do it...better to be safe than sorry these days!

I would of done it but taken hubby with me, if I wasn't booked up.

It's good to keep your wits about you though as you never know.

i don't think it's odd at all, he told you what he wanted them for.

I agree that its not odd for a man to want nail enhancements, plenty do...but, I do agree that going to a hotel room is a bit risky, I would of gone but taken somebody with me. You do have to be careful.

nailzoo you may feel differently if you were a woman working mobile on your own at night

The thing is from my understanding that he wanted her to come to his hotel and do them...I for one just don't think it's safe for a woman to be with a man she doesn't know, now if she could have taken her hubby with her it would have been a different story, but as I said these days we live in it is better to be safe.

There is a guy who lives round the corner from me who is a transexual and I am desperate to do his nails, he always looks so beautifully turned out but his nails are awful.

I keep putting my leaflets through the door but no responses as yet.

I don't think I would feel threatened by going to his house though, maybe it's because he's a neighbour.

Again though, we do need to keep ourselves safe.

i have no problem at all either doing a man's nails, in fact, it would be something different compared to what i am used to doing, but it was just a bit strange..... could be genuine, just may not be...., still a bit wierd in my book xxxx

I understand that you'd perhaps be wary of seeing a (strange - in the 'never met before sense') man alone..BUT.. I don't think it's a strange request.

You could have always recommended him to another technician, a fellow
Geek perhaps or someone who could help him.

You have to go with what you are comfortable with and if you felt something wasn't quite right then you are right to go with that feeling hun.
