Had to go pay the remainder for my vets bill today for my late doggie Toby, so I took my cat along with me for a de-matt - she's half persian/half tabby and she got matted really badly on her belly as she likes to lie in the wet grass for some reason!

Think it's gonna cost about £40-50, my own fault for not keeping on top of it really and she will be brushed daily from now on I will MAKE her LOL! Well the vet said to just do a bit of her each day if she won't let me do it all!

My half persian white kitten on the other hand is completely different, she has baths, loves to be brushed and basically pampered!

I'm just about to go pick her up - the vet did warn she may just come out with a full head of hair and just her tail left LOL!! Well we will see... if I can manage to post a pic I will! Bless her... I may need to knit her a little jumper or something hehe!

Oh I feel for you, my Mum is the second biggest breeders of persians in England and it takes her 2 full days a week grooming which in itself is fine because its her living but when she had a fall 3 years ago I had to do it for her and boy is that hard work! Given half a chance i would have shaved the bu**ers! But being show cats guess it wasn't a good idea!

I love long haired coats on animals, although they do take some looking after!

On sunday it was raining really badly and we'd walked up to get the paper, with all the kids which we don't normally do.... and on the way home this beautiful white husky type dog (I think) with the most thickest beautiful long hair trotted past us....

... considering the weather though, it was immaculate and not muddy at all!
The owner had fluffy white boots on, to which Dave said... look she's wearing its puppies on her feet... I was like, wtf... that dog's cleaner than my kids

Our house rabbits is a hair nightmare!
always matty and in knots from her washing herself.
And sometimes where she sits doing her little pebble poos, they get stuck and its not nice picking them out!

She is like a persian cat too! But we cant take her to be de-matted.
we keep on top of her long coat every 2 days witha brush and about once a month she has a snip and tidy up with a pair of scissors.
She is supposed to be a LION HEAD.. but shes a LION BODY too!!

We call her Pepper Frilly Knickers! LOL

Well just picked Poppy up and she isn't as bad as I thought she'd be... looks normal to look at apart from a shaved belly cos they managed to brush the matts off her back...

I gave her a good comb when she got home too to get her used to it again and she was fine! More hair came out too! She has a very thick coat!

OMG she is sooo happy too, when I picked her carrier up she was rolling round in it happy as larry LOL! She gobbled her food up when she got home too!

Cost me £48, that was for de-matt, flea treatment and bless her she had ear mites too!
