I dont think I am a quitter, but I do know when to quit if you know what I mean. I am also a very punctual person and it drives me barmy when others are not. I dont know that I would stick with something till the death, if its not working then there is no point flogging a dead horse.

I'd like to think I'm the sort of person who would stick it out, but I did this in my last job way past the point of enjoyment I'm afraid..
My life is different now as what I'm working for is for my family and me, and I enjoy every second, but I do agree many people do have a 'that'll do attitude' or think they deserve everything handed on a plate. |

Good thread |

I am not only punctual but I like my punctuation to be correct as well! I have been lucky in my career both before and after my start in this industry. I have always managed to have a change of direction every 3 years or so which keeps me from getting stuck in a rut. With nails I started as an employed part time Tech...then went self employed...then into bigger premises....then into education. I don't quit, and I don't think I am overly ambitious, but I do like to have some progression in my working life. |

I never quit at anything i do ever i dont know if its an exforces thing but once i start something i have to see it through...whatever it is.
I have never been late for anything in my life if anything i can be a pain because i am allways early and expect others to be as well. I am a planner, i have to be organised in everything i do from getting everything ready the night before...even the boys breakfast dishes and cereal boxes to having my desk fully prepped at all times and mobile case at the ready straight after i have finished for the day. I think some off these attributes have totally rubbed off with reguards to my nail career, as i had these first and they have helped me build it up to a good business |

I am not a quitter either, and my pet hate is people who are late or don't even bother to show up at all
Tbh I think it was the way that I was brought up, my dad always hated people who were non-commital to their job and disrepectful of punctuality, I think it has rubbed off I agree with Jac's comment though about flogging a dead horse, sometimes in life you just have say no I can't do this, thankfully though I haven't had this yet in the nail indusrty yet, hope I never do. |

I am always punctual, people that aren't drive me mad and don't get me onto non arrivals!!I work hard, I hate anyone who has a can't be bothered attitude or expects everything handing to them on a plate. There seems to be too much of a "give me it now, oh now I'm bored of it, I want that now attitude". People seem loath to work for anything, to go without to get where they want to be. God I'm turning into my grandmother!!

great thread fiona!!
i have been described before as being fickle and flighty!!! no!! you say? but yes im afraid, but this was in something that i was unhappy in!! i sometimes am forgetful but will always get there in the end, my main problem is i have no patience for things, i want to know it all and know it all now, and if i find there is something else to know i make it my main concern to find it out! now that i feel i have found my niche in life i am more stable and less flighty and now if i promise someone something i will deliver!!! my aims are to progress but at a rate im happy with, i cannot push myself anymore at the moment, but i also know that if i want it i will have to go after it, as things seldom drop onto your lap ( unless you are very lucky!!!) |

like everybody else i'm definatly not a quitter! It took me 8 attempts to pass my driving test and i reckon that proves it!!
I'm a perfectionist so if there is something that i can't do perfectly, i don't want to do it at all, which isn't always a good thing! I'm never late for anything, i'm usally early and if i say i'm gunna do something then i will do it no excuses. Beauty is my passion, i can't imagine doing anything else. |

Fab thread! (notice who's posted?)
I think I enjoy to stick things out, I hate being told I won't / can't do something, it just makes me all the more determined to finish it - even if I'm not enjoying it! Its great reading a little more of what everyones personalities are like! |

well i was thinking .
yes i am a bit of a quitter , its like "oh i dont have the energy for this" but ! ...then i just read your response about your driving test ..and i past on my 7th attempt ..many times i thought "right i give up ,im not doing it anymore" but there was nooo way i was letting a little test beat me so mabey if i look deeper into myself , i am not a quitter after all , i am not very punctual at all ..nor am i organised , god ive been over the moon this week because i have had the uniforms ready for the next day by tea time sometimes i am very weak and indesisive and doubtful , but then i have my "other me !" who is strong and knows what she wants, and says whats on her mind god i have multi-personality syndrom, i think oooh all this thinking about ME is confusing me now .im going to stop |

At home I'm an absolute nightmare, never seem to get anything done, always in a tizzy...always quitting those half done jobs....best left in a dark room until morning.
...at work I'm the complete opposite, total commitment, striving to achieve the best and offer the best, I don't quit. I'm never late for things though home or work |
