hi andrea!! me personally i dont think it does - im sure there will be lots of peeps who know stuff to the contary!! it depends what each company is offering. my mum insists on staying with british gas for her electric and gas so we have done the same!! one of our friends switched over when those people came knocking on his door and it actually ended up costing him money!!! not sure why

Thanks for your reply Victoria. To be honest, I feel the same as you, but I wont mind changing if these offers are really meaningful.
I keep getting letters from tv providers saying 'pay only £25 a month for phone/satelite tv/internet. Whats the catch? Or I keep seeing 'switch your gas/electric' to us, we will save you £150 per year! So I'm kind of researching this topic! |

for sure you can save (but do your research) i used to pay $80 month for internet + phone line rental. Now i get 50x the internet speed, more downloads allowed, my telephone line rental included for $60 and amazing phone call charges (local, interstate and international) EG: i phone a geek in England from Aus for almost 1.5 hours for $6.00.
See if you can find some kind of website with comparison charts so you can make an informed decision. |

I switched from British Gas a few years ago...(was hassled at the door by a bloke who wouldn't bog off)...it was fine for a while then just shot through the roof...so i went back to British Gas...i just cant be bothered changing everything even if i was to save a few quid...it would have to be a guaranteed saving of more than just a few quid and set at that for me to change again.
