Some years ago a friend of ours invited us to his parents home for a drink before Christmas. His parents were great collectors of wall plates etc.
For 9 years they got one plate a year in the 'Christmas series'. This was one letter a year from the word Christmas and always arranged them on a very long shelf.
When we went there they only had one year to go and were proudly showing us this display. After they went to bed, their son crept out to the shed, got some steps and rearranged the spacing, it then said

CHRIST MA
It still gives me a giggle
