Hehe, thought i'd just dig up an older thread.
I have just recently got specs for the first time. Its so hard to get used to them but my nail art has improved a lot! I was having bad pains in my eyes, and after going to the docs then the eye hospital I was referred to the opticians, who said I need glasses for close up work and reading/watching TV/Geeking... It was only 5 months ago I had a test and the optician had said I wouldnt need glasses til I was 40! So unless that optician was rubbish and didnt pick up on the problem which the new one did or not I don't know, but it just made me realise how things can quickly deteriorate!! Look after your eyes geeks |

Every 2 years without fail.
I wear glasses and contacs and i cant see anything other than a blury outline if i dont wear them. I too used to hate the thought of people looking at me wearing glasses, even more so when they said it made me look sofisticated!...me now i dont give a hoot, im me glasses and all, i like to see what im doing, where im going and more imprtantly whos short changing me lmao |

![]() I was just looking at when I posted this thread and can't believe that it has been almost a month since I got my new glasses and although it was hard at first to get used to them, being varifocles, I couldn't be without them now. How on earth I managed before is totally beyond me. |

every 2 years i go i am supposed to wear glasses all the time but wear them when studying, computer tv etc, it was an optician who picked up something wrong with my mum before she got diagnosed with a brain tumour,
he noticed something wrong and sent her to a&e straight away...sadly it was too far advanced. The opticians alos picked up on my graves disease i had fatty deposits behind my right eye...he told me this before my blood tests came back...opticians see and look for alot more than we think....and they are worth their weight in gold... |
