Hiya
I have been unemployed for about 4 years and I feel as though I need to get a job. However, I am planning on doing an evening class at college studying NVQ2 in Beauty Therapy this September. So in the meantime I need to find a job to save up. I would like a job in the beauty industry so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks

I think it's quite difficult to get a job when you have been out of work for a while, I know it's wrong, but employers want to see your work experience and track record, whatever you personal circumstances.
As a small business myself, I couldn't afford to pay a full time receptionist, we take it in turns to answer the phone... Could you do it on a voluntary work experience basis, reception for a few hours a week.....which will give you a great insight to the business and also managing the book, which will be a major factor in your new career? |
