I had a model for my day 3 who let me down the day before. After a desparate ring round I managed to get a friend of a friend who promised she would be available for all 3 days. It can be very difficult to get people to commit - choose your victims carefully!!!!!

Indeed, and also I think it would make sense to agree to what your model is committing to - e.g. if they need to keep their nails on for several days for rebalance work etc.

I know in my case that I'd most likely need the nails removed at least before the next day I would be in work, so that would limit the sort of modelling I could do (unless I was lucky to have a lot of work-from-home work at the time)...

Ideally if you can get a victim who can keep the day 3 nails on, have them rebalanced at day 4, then leave them on for day 5, that is fab, although I know that not a single person in my class found a model who could do that!!

My day 3 lady removed hers within 24 hours. I applied nails to my day 4 victim the night before the course, good job my nails were crap and there was lots of lift, so I got to do a real rebalance! For day 5 I applied the ladys nails a week before and soaked one hand off the night before.

So, its not always essential to get someone who can wear the nails all the time, although obviously that is the ideal situation.

dont forget too that finding models for the course is just the tip of the iceberg. finding models to practice on after you qualify is even more essential.
i was luck enough to have teenage daughters with lots of friends and to go to work in a salon immediately after i qualified.

Im so sorry you were let down so badly, I bet they come running once you are applying fab nails, you should then charge them the earth lol

I will be sewing mittens into my daughters clothes, and locking her in the bedroom the night before my course...She wont be getting out of it ...

Mrs. R when is your course?

I'm not that far from you (Derbyshire) and depending on when you course is I may beable to be your model for at least one day, I get free petrol so if you are interested I could pick you up to save you on petrol!! PM me if you are interested!!
