Just noticed on the beginners 4 day course for CND that a model will be required for training on days 3 and 4 - becuase the course for me is way out of my area I will never be able to got anyone to come! What happens if you can't get a model!

I was wondering that! I have my model sorted out but she often gets kidney infections and I can just see her being ill the week of my course! Its hard to get a model, what with work, children etc, I had trouble. Hopefully it will be ok! Im sure its worth the agro, I cant wait!

Im taking my 18yr old daughter ....... I will try not to make her suffer too much lol

Maybe once you know where you are training the geeks in that area may be able to help you.

I had the same problem for my cnd conversion, and when I spoke to them they said that if I couldn't get anyone I could use a training hand. (They are expensive to buy if you havn't already got one though)

I think you can hire the training hands through the acadamy now, instead of buying one.

One of the girls on my course could not find a model and my tutor (liza smith) arranged one for her. Maybe ask, I'm sure they have loads of people willing to get a free set.

Shame a lot of these courses are in the week, as I would be interested in modelling for courses, etc, if it's a weekend and I'm free...

im doing my day 5 next week and ive been lucky as my model has made it to all of the days, but two of the girls, models didnt turn up for day 4, they were both devastated , so we shared, one of them did one hand of my model, one of them did the hand of another, so althought its not ideal and if you can get your own it would be better, i am sure there is always a way around it hun xxx

To all you ladies doing the foundation course, please do not underestimate how difficult it can be getting a reliable model!! Get someone you know you can trust.

I had a model for my day 3 who let me down the day before. After a desparate ring round I managed to get a friend of a friend who promised she would be available for all 3 days. She did the day 3, then decided it wasnt as much fun as she though so said she wouldnt do the other days, and removed her nails with a chisel. I dont mean a manicure chisel, I mean a carpenters chisel! Ok the nails were dodgy, as are everyones first ones, but I thought that was a bit extreme.

I managed to get someone, again another friend of a friend, who said she would do days 4 and 5. She came on day 4, had the rebalance, no probs.

Day 5 was on the horizon, and she rang me the weekend before to say she needs a rebalance as she's going out for the night, can I do it for her? I said I couldnt as she needed to be in need of a rebalance for my day 5 assessment. Within 24 hours she texted to say all her nails had fallen off. (translated - I wanted a rebalance so decided to pick them off).

It can be very difficult to get people to commit - choose your victims carefully!!!!!
