girls need help... iv got a teaching observation tomorrow. need help to make delivering bones theory...well fun.... unlikely i know, im struggling amongst watching hollyoaks...help???x

Sorry hun but the only thing that came to my mind was the song that my mum used to sing but i don't remember it fully,
something along the lines of your hip bones connected to your thigh bone, your thigh bones connected to your knee bone, your knee bones connected to your shin bone and so on,

Hmm, has anyone got a skeleton suit costume left over from Halloween that they could wear for a demo? That might brighten things up a bit as well as demonstrating where bones are on the body...

Do you mean like how to remember the bones of the wrist or something like that? If so, take the first letter of each word and make up a little saying with the same initials..

Trapezium, Trapezoid, Capitate, Hamate, Pisiform, Triquetral, Lunate, Scaphoid

So TTCHPTLS could be something like The Therapist Could Help Pretend Teacher Learnt Something

thats also a brilliant idea,,, im soo doing that for my beauty specialist class. Unfortunately its only a nail services class that i have my obs for tomorrow so i think the full costume for teaching bones of the foot might be a little crazy.

Iv delivered the make up unit and to finish iv asked all my learners to bring in extreme eyelashes, im going to take in my camera...yes i have got consent forms lol. x

You could always see if there is anyone brave in the class who wouldn't mind you drawing the bones on them with body paint

I'm sure I've seen it done on the telly before though - there was that anatomy programme on Channel 4 a while back where they had life models that they drew/painted bones/muscles/organs on.

If body painting's part of the course syllabus, you could even kill two birds with one stone

Men - Medial Cuneiform
In - Intermediate Cuneiform
Ladies - Lateral Cuneiform
Nighties - Navicular
Can - Cuboid
Turn - Talus
Camp - Calcaneous

Ridiculous I know but our whole class learnt it easily.
